Fall is finally upon us and while Christmas is undoubtedly my favorite holiday, Fall is by far the best season of all. Not because of the pumpkin spice, or the boots or the gorgeous scenery during the changing of the colors. Its because this season, above all other seasons is so family oriented. There are so many activities going on this season and I don’t want to miss a single one. I feel like I end up working our daily life schedule around our activities as apposed to fitting the activities into our daily schedule. This season is geared towards getting people together from festivals to pumpkin patches, elaborate feasts, and cozy nights snuggled on the couch with your favorite blankets.
I think one of my favorite memories each year has been heading to the pumpkin patch and spending probably way too much time picking out the very best pumpkin whether that means the ugliest, biggest, roundest, or the one with the perfectly placed stem. Since having our babies, every year we have hunted down giant pumpkins in order to cut holes out to stick the kids inside of them. I have a feeling its going to prove to be pretty difficult this year and only get harder. This isn’t just the start of the holiday season, it’s the start of the season of traditions and this is one of ours. Do you have traditions this time of year?
